The Liberty District Forms A Bible Institute in Partnership with Campbellsville University.

The Liberty District Association and the Campbellsville University School of Theology have formed a partnership to create the Liberty District Bible Institute. The Institute will consist of four theology courses taught at the Ralph Bunche Community Center, 408 Bunche Ave, Glasgow, KY 42141. Campbellsville University School of Theology faculty will teach the courses offered for full academic credit to interested students, or students who wish to audit the course.


The first course will begin on Tuesday, January 16, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Central Time at the Bunche Center. The course will be CHS 121 Introduction to New Testament and will be taught by Dr. John Hurtgen, The Dean of the Campbellsville University School of Theology. The Institute plans over the next two years to offer courses including:


  • CHS 356 Ministry of Christian Leadership,

  • CHS 111 Introduction to Old Testament, and

  • CHS 471 Church History.


The courses are designed for church pastors, associate ministers, other church leaders, and lay persons. The classes are open to all interested students regardless of denominational affiliation.

Students who enroll for college credit will receive full academic credit from Campbellsville University as each course is successfully completed. Opportunities to audit the class are also available.
