The Power Beneath You – Surprising Help From the Ground Beneath Your Feet

There are dangerous health-related conditions that plague human beings. African Americans are particularly troubled by, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and in recent years, Covid-19. Unfortunately, most people suffering from one or more of the most frequently diagnosed conditions are treated for symptoms, not the base cause of the disease in the body.

Many believe that inflammation is the cause of disease in the body[1]. The truth is that intermittent inflammation is a health response process in the body. The problem begins when inflammation becomes chronic or persistent and is the first signal of disease across the human lifespan, according to Nature Medicine.

Systemic Chronic Inflammation (SCI) is linked to several diseases that are the primary causes of disability and death worldwide. SCI is believed to lead to cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, along with autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders. In fact, more than 50% of all deaths worldwide are related to inflammation-related diseases[2].

One of the most important ways to take charge of your health is to control chronic inflammation. A quick look at the causes of SCI can be the start of a life of increased health, lowered risk of disability or other disease processes that may lead to death. Here is a list of causes:

How does Grounding work in the human body?

The human body is an electricity-generating machine. The process occurs in the atoms through elements in the human body, such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, and calcium. These charged elements, called ions, are used by human cells to generate electricity.

“Environmental medicine generally addresses environmental factors with a negative impact on human health. However, emerging scientific research has revealed a surprisingly positive and overlooked environmental factor on health: direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth. Modern lifestyle separates humans from such contact. The research suggests that this disconnect may be a major contributor to physiological dysfunction and unwellness. Reconnection with the Earth's electrons has been found to promote intriguing physiological changes and subjective reports of well-being. Earthing (or grounding) refers to the discovery of benefits—including better sleep and reduced pain—from walking barefoot outside or sitting, working, or sleeping indoors connected to conductive systems that transfer the Earth's electrons from the ground into the body.[4]

The impact of the research findings affirms a long-held belief rooted in Biblical Traditions that humans were formed from the dust of the Earth. In simple terms, reconnecting to the Earth restores a broken connection that has research confirmed healing benefits for human beings. It has been suggested that the most disruptive invention of the 20th Century to the health of human beings was the synthetic sole which replaced leather soles on shoes.

That one believed advancement insulated the electrically conductive human being from the ground charge produced by the earth, setting off a cascade of human disease processes.

Research demonstrates that reconnecting to the grounded earth, either by walking barefooted on the earth, laying on the earth in electrically conductive natural fibers, or using a grounding mat, grounded mattress cover, or other such grounded devices, can result in improved health.

Throughout history, humans mostly walked barefoot or with footwear made of animal skins. They slept on the ground or on skins. Through direct contact or through perspiration-moistened animal skins used as footwear or sleeping mats, the ground's abundant free electrons were able to enter the body, which is electrically conductive. Grounding or Earthing is a simple, low-cost, or no-cost way to regulate body processes by connecting to the Earth’s abundant and free flow of electrons.
